Three must visit spots along the Croatian coastline

If you are looking for a holiday spot thats rich in history and bursting with charm then you would be hard placed to find a more captivating city then Pula and the nearby enchanting towns of Fažana and Rovinj.

Let's start with Pula. Can you imagine walking in the footsteps of ancient Romans? Because that's exactly what we did at the Pula Arena, one of the best-preserved Roman amphitheaters in the world. After a day of exploring, we found a cozy café looking out at views of the Arena whilst eating pasta as the sun went down.

For those looking to enjoy Pula's coastal charm without venturing too far from the city center, there are several beaches accessible by foot that offer sun, sea, and relaxation.

Hawaiian Beach was our favourite (Havajsko Uvala) — This beach is one of the closest to the city center and is popular with both locals and tourists alike. The beach offers a mix of rocky and pebbly areas with clear blue waters that are perfect for a refreshing swim. The green backdrop of pine trees provides plenty of shade for those looking to escape the midday sun.

Only a short trip from Pula, we uncovered the quaint town of Fažana. It's like stepping into a watercolor painting with its pastel-coloured waterfront houses. This charming spot also opens the doorway to the Brijuni Islands National Park which is only a short boat ride away. You can also take evening boat trips here to spot dolphins! Many of the boat trips also offer a BBQ and drinks within your ticket price so you can combine a relaxing cruise with a delicious meal.

Last but certainly not least, is the city of Rovinj. With its cobblestone streets winding up to the church of St. Euphemia where you can see incredible views of the Croatian architecture. Rovinj is that perfect blend of Italian zest and Croatian cool. There are many art and crafts shops to visit as you wind your way up the hill as well as spots to eat and drinks along the harbour.

A trip to Croatia is always incredible with the scents of pine and its crystal-clear water. So, pack your bags, suncream and your Salt-Water’s of course and set out on a trip to remember!
